The Hodder Reading Project consists of a Teacher’s Resource book; supported by a graded set of 6 reading books, each selected for interest and range.
The reading books are supported by reading sheets in the Teacher’s Resource which lead the pupils through the book and set questions and activities at certain staging points. They can be used in groups with other pupils at the same level, or individually.

Each set of graded reading books:

  • Consists of an exciting range of real titles, including fiction, information and anthology.
  • Allows pupils to apply, consolidate and practise all the new skills and strategies taught in the Pupil’s Book in a genuine reading context.
  • Provides opportunities and encouragement for individual work, allowing pupils to take charge of their reading
  • Allows teachers to target reading books according to pupil attainment and to plan for progression.
